Time for an update

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 3, 2009, 4:53 PM
AAAAAND WE'RE BACK!

EDIT:
So, a certain someone was ever so kind and gave me a new sub! :glomp: Since I have time this semester, I'm going to experiment with new pics and headers and whatnot and spiffy this thing up. :D

Speaking of experiments, this semester I've enrolled in a pottery class. And MAN, did I ever set the bar high for myself on the first project. Once I get a camera, I shall take a picture of my two chickens. Yes, chickens. I'm talking 3-D sculptures here. And they look pretty darned good if I do say so myself. lol. (Now, this perception may change over time, but suffice to say that I'm satisfied with them thus far.) They're awaiting the kiln right now, so they're not finished. Currently, I'm building an 18-inch pot/vase. Anyone have suggestions on what the heck to do with a pot that big if you just really don't NEED said pot???

I brought my tablet with me this semester. Those of you who watch me already (who are most likely to be reading this) will find this news redundant, though, since I've already created several works in the past month. lol. (Speaking of which, I do thank you guys for the feedback on that OC meme I did. It's been VERY encouraging. :D)OH! And I also now have a scanner here at the school! So I'll be scanning in drawings I do on paper as well.

On another note, I'm actually kind of looking forward to Valentine's. No, nothing romantic on Valentine's, though I do plan to treat myself to some chocolate. lol.) I have a friend that I'm going to get to watch sing, another friend who's having a baby shower, and I'm hoping I'll have a letter from someone that I've been writing to lately, which is exciting enough as it is that someone actually REPLIED to a decorated envelope I sent! :D Yeah, sad to say, but oh so true. (And the funniest part of it is that it's not even the person to whom the letter was originally addressed. :XD:)

M'kay, well that's all I can squeeze in for now. Wish me luck for my Pharm college interview Saturday! :shakefish:

I'd gladly give you romantic chocolates, Euclid.

Yeeeah, I bet you would. lol. It's all good, though. I bought myself some Reese's, and the guy I was expecting a letter from actually sent me a letter and chocolate (as thanks for a drawing I sent him). So I'm covered.

Ew. That emote licks its lips, too. lol.

3-d chickens!?? 8U you caught my attention xD;; Hmm pottery sounds like a fun class.
xD; Heh, me and my friends usually buy eachother choclates on V-day. We're just weird like that. You sure you don't have a secret lover huhuhu :devilish: Jk.
Good luck with your interview and have a great Valentines day!~
:iconeuclidstriangle:
Yes! And they're apparently in the kiln now! I'm so excited. :D After they come out, I'll get to paint and glaze 'em. WHEEEEEE!

I do that, too, sometimes. My friend and I've slacked off a bit, though, lately. (Speaking of, I still have to finish a pic I started for her birthday back in October. D:)

^^ Yay! Hmm, I don't know why but I've always had bad experiences with kilns and pottery in general. Somehow someway my teachers would always accidently break my stuff D< . It was always the same excuse: "Oh, your peice was good, don't worry I'll give you an A. When I took it out I accidently dropped it." I never got to give my mom any of my pottery. So, eventually I just decided to lean more towards drawing xDD Thus ends my random sob story about pottery classes xDD;;
XDD;; Well, maybe you should get started on that picture then. lol
:iconeuclidstriangle:
Oh, gosh, that would be awful! I'm sincerely hoping I poked large enough holes in their backsides to prevent them from blowing up in the kiln, to be honest...

It's not that I've not started it... It's just that as I was coloring it, a HUGE blob of pink ink dripped out of the tip of the marker, RIGHT onto a part that did not need pink. D: And now I'm stuck...

Yeah it was terrible DD:
Lol, XD; ehh, I hate when that happens. That's why it's always best to scan the b&w picture before coloring it...so if something goes wrong you'll be able to copy it and start over. I just hope you weren't almost done when the blob spilled out DD: That could force anyone to quit at least for the day. Anyway gl with the picture.
